To store these types of items, we recommend selecting storage bins made of plastic with latching handles/lids so they will remain closed.  We tend to enclose small items in ziploc bags and place inside the storage bin to keep them from getting dusty.  This is great for paper goods or fabric items.

Do you have upper cabinets that require a ladder? Do you have lower cabinets you have to lay on the floor to access and crawl back into? Do you have a storage unit?
