Bright Summer Pieces Remedy Fashion Blues

To be honest, I’m in a bit of a fashion rut & not much is inspiring me to claw my way out. Not even much of the couture. What brightened my closet is a find at TJMaxx during a Texas summer thunderstorm. I ran in for a quick return when sheets of rain started pouring down. One hour later, the deluge finally stopped, and I had my new favorite summer blouse. A beautiful, bright blue, simple, cotton top with large, flutter or bell sleeves. Who isn’t on the ultimate lifetime search for a wallet that actually works? It is one of my strongest memories of my dad: his search for the perfect wallet! Every time we were in a store that had men’s goods, my dad would riffle through wallets looking for the Z-wallet. I know because I asked him one day why he didn’t just buy one of the many wallets he had just examined. With disgust, he told me none were worthy. Then he explained the perfect men’s wallet to me. Stylish Gifts for Dad

Dad’s are awesome! My dad was the best dad ever. I still have people randomly stop me to tell me how much they loved my dad, his big heart, humor & 1000 watt smile. He even put up with some pretty lack-luster gifts over the years for Christmas, his birthday & Father’s Day pretending they were all totally awesome. See pic above. The Oscars’ Top 10 Men’s Fashions

After dissecting the ladies Oscar 2015 red carpet fashions, it’s only fair that I look at all the eye candy, I mean men, who walked the same infamous red carpet. The new trend for men goes back to old Hollywood glamor. This is a good thing.

One gentleman taking this trend to the day-to-day is Thomas Mastronardi, CMO atPaul Stuart fine men’s clothing. Mr. Mastronardi noticed early on that the dapper gent always ended up with the beautiful girl in movies. If you’re female, your response to that is, “DUH!”. “There’s nothing better than a sharp dressed man”…..even with a long beard.

The Oscars’ Top 10 Fashions

It’s the big night. Almost as big as the night before Christmas. The anticipation for the winners of the Oscars & and the winners of fashion is electric. My mom & I watch it together every year deciding whose dress makes the cut…… at least in our eyes.

Our credentials? I have a degree in fashion & love beauty. Mom picked my dad & he was handsome so obviously she also has an eye for the good-looking. Our criteria? The dress removes flaws making the wearer the most beautiful they can be.

So we give you our top 10 Best Dressed because no one needs to be told they picked poorly. So the Oscar in fashion goes to…..
