Thankfully Organized

People often ask me how I got my organizing skill.

Here’s the truth.  Those of us who have the gift of organization naturally see patterns.  Patterns help us see all the ways to group items.  Understanding how to group creates clarity.  Clarity helps you prioritize possessions into spaces or To Do’s on a calendar.  Those priorities become the patterns on your calendarplanning how to run your errands, how to organize a space/home/office, how to manage a project or just how to get through your To Do list.

Here’s another truth. Being organized is not anal, uptight, obsessive, unimaginative or lacking intelligence.   We are people who are drawn to color coding, grouping like items and organizing spaces because it makes us happy to create beautiful, peaceful, inviting, functioning environments others enjoy.

If you don’t fall into the organized group, that’s OK.  We all have special gifts.  No one gift is greater than another.  All are needed in this world because it takes a village just to get through each day.  I’m thankful for my gift.  I’m thankful others have different gifts.

I’m most thankful for the help of my vast village:
