There’s An App for That…No Really
If you’ve ever been late to work, to a function, or to dinner with friends; if you knew you wore that same outfit last week or you just couldn’t find something to wear or to pack, then a virtual closet is for you.
A virtual closet app is a way to manage clothes, style outfits, get friends’ opinions on your wardrobe choices & simply save time. The app requires a set-up investment, but it’s a small price to pay for the big rewards on a day to day basis. How do you make it happen?
1. Pick Your App There are a lot of virtual closets to choose from from free up to $19.99. They are do basically the same thing and a few things differently. And each has their own look. Pick the one that speaks to you.
2.Photograph & Upload Once you’ve decided on an app, photographing is the biggest time investment. Hang items, one at a time, on the back of a closet door or lay out on a bed and snap a photo. After you have your clothes photographed & uploaded, you’ll want to do your accessories as well. It can take some time so plan accordingly.
3.Create This is the super fun part. Create outfits & categories of outfits. Send outfits options to friends for their input. Go back into the calendar & upload outfits you recently wore and kick-start your fashion history.
4.Maintain I like to input my outfit at the end of the day. If I don’t like what I wore, I’ll eliminate the piece or pieces from my wardrobe & virtual wardrobe. If I received loads of complements, I’ll star the items & outfit.
5.Extras This is the perfect tool to help you pack. Not only can you plan your outfits, but now you can actually find your list & remember what you had planned to wear since your list is always on your phone or iPad. Never get mixed up while traveling again!
