Using Pegboard in a Boy’s Room

When we find an easy DIY organizing project that is inexpensive, easy to install and has limitless possibilities we want to share it with everyone we know.  Well, this pegboard project is all of those things … and more!  With just a few basic supplies from Home Depot, my son was able to customize a pegboard that we hung in his room.

This list of supplies we used are:

(1)  2’ x 4’ ft. White Pegboard panel

(2)  1/8 in. Garage/Workshop Assortment for Pegboard

(3)  Peggable Wire Baskets (3-Pack)

As you can see, he used the hooks and baskets in an arrangement that he mapped out to hold a variety of things.  He has included tech accessories, a Minecraft sword, headphones, a nerf gun, video game controllers and even a video camera (in the upper right black basket).  We were so happy to see him get excited about “controlling his clutter”.  The icing on the cake is that he can totally change this arrangement of hooks and baskets whenever he sees fit.

The items that can be corralled on a wall using pegboard like this are limitless….making this one extremely versatile product.  The ability to see things laid out just the way you like them makes finding your things so easy.  One of the most brilliant aspects of using pegboard is utilizing wall space, which declutters other surfaces in your home. We hope that this inspires you to use pegboard in your home.  We would love to hear how you would put your pegboard to good use.   Just click right over to the Styled & Organized Facebook page and share your pegboard ideas.
