Is your Terrible Awful clutter secret is a constant pile of dishes in your sink spilling over onto your counters.  It’s time to admit your fear of loading the dishwasher properly. Here’s how to do it so the Dishwasher Police won’t find you.

 

DECLUTTER YOUR KITCHEN SINK

 

  • Prep by gathering cup of tea/coffee or favorite beverage and turning on your favorite music.
  • Set Timer.
  • LOAD your dishwasher properly
    • Pre-rinse off large amounts of food (The newest dishwashers say they do a better job if you don’t scrape or rinse.)
    • Load bottom rack first
      • Cookie sheets/pots/pans around outside, then large plates inside of those & finish with small bowls in middle
    • Load top rack last
      • Cups between prongs
      • Plastic items

Bright Summer Pieces Remedy Fashion Blues

To be honest, I’m in a bit of a fashion rut & not much is inspiring me to claw my way out.  Not even much of the couture.  What brightened my closet is a find at TJMaxx during a Texas summer thunderstorm.  I ran in for a quick return when sheets of rain started pouring down.  One hour later, the deluge finally stopped, and I had my new favorite summer blouse.  A beautiful, bright blue, simple, cotton top with large, flutter or bell sleeves.  Easy to dress up or dress down…fun, simple, sophisticated & bright.  I would wear it everyday if I could.
