With the start of school comes the start of finding what to have for lunch 5X a week. Something yummy but healthy, fresh but durable, in vogue but satisfying. It’s not like having a uniform for school. You might get tired of wearing the same thing every day, but at least it’s easy to overlook. But who wants to eat the same thing every day? With the start of August, school is just around the corner. Time to get last minute fun in while preparing for the next exciting school year. Balance pool time, Six Flags, Main Event extravaganzas & ice cream store trips with prepping for the big day.

1.School Supplies Gather together old school supplies. Compare what you have with school supply list. Then head out shopping for what is missing.

2.School Clothes Kids grow during the summer. Plan a “Fashion Show” hour where clothes & shoes are tried on for current fit evaluation. Make a list of what is needed. Don’t forget underwear & socks.

First Day of School!

What a notable day, the first day of each new school year. Everything is so new, unprecedented & exciting. The energy from anticipation tingles across your arms & the back of your neck. Even if you don’t have children going to school you can still sense the power of this special day.

Kid’s Closet Chaos

School is almost out & your child is moving from school clothes to swimsuits, shorts, T-shirts & flip-flops. Kids Craft Organization

I’m sure your kids have come around while your are busy scrapbooking, beading, stamping, quilting, sewing, wood working, painting—doing one of your “for me” activities. They just wanted to help or touch all of your pretty tools & supplies. Admit it! Seeing them play with all of your expensive toys scares you to death. (—or even irritates you as you rush to complete a project in your limited time)

Why not give them crafts of their own and a place near you? Let this percolate for a moment.

Once upon a time, there was a little child’s room full of wonderfully, magical toys!

Wait, that’s not how a fairytale goes. Fairytales are sweet & magical.
