Is your pantry so nicely organized you’re tempted to leave the doors open? Or does the jumble inside scream, “No more”? Years ago, I wrote a blog for California Closets on how to make and keep your pantry efficient and beautiful. Here, I have updated those tips to work for any pantry space. Re-evaluating your pantry set-up takes a little time and effort but will make planning and cooking meals much more enjoyable. After all, preparing food for yourself and those you love is the core of self-care and self-love.
Tax Day is quickly approaching, so we know many of you out there are busy in your home office. While you are in your office preparing for your taxes, take a look at this space to see if it needs some housekeeping.
Where do you even begin?! One foot in front of the other is a good start…or use these 15 minute challenges!
We spend a lot of money on our prized possession…our handbags. Admit it. When you see the latest handbag you love in the store, you can’t catch the drool at the corner of your mouth fast enough. Your eyes glaze over, your breathing stops, your heartbeat skips and the endorphins flood your body as you slowly circle the counter to claim it as yours.
The garage might just be the most forgotten space in our homes. Some garages are fancy with the super cool floor finishes but most are over-stuffed or just over-run with STUFF on the floor. In Texas the garage is either hot and dirty, dirty, dirty or cold and (still) dirty, dirty, dirty. However, if you use just the 5 tools I’m going to suggest, you will transform your garage from scary to luxury….or at least a place where you can find what you need.
Now that the holidays are over, you might be wondering if you will ever enjoy the holiday memories you captured with your smartphone, camera or video. Don’t let them waist away, hidden, never to see the light. Plan to share those memories!
In honor of St. Patrick’s day (Sunday, this year) I offer you 4 simple habits to keep you organized and allow you to reap lucky rewards. What and How you ask?
Here are the 4 Habits
TBB or Tidy Before Bed: If you take 15-20 minutes every night to tuck your things into their own little beds,
With Daylight Savings Time starting this Sunday morning, – YIKES! – it seems very appropriate to talk about the lack of sleep most of us experience. The zombie shows are so popular because most of us are walking zombies ourselves & we see ourselves in those shows.
SO we ❤️ post-its, notepads,
Sharpies — all colors, sizes
The fat ones – the skinny ones,
Each one energizes us
Then there are baskets and bins
Drawer organizers for sure
We ❤️ all shapes and sizes
But nothing that’s too obscure
SO sometimes, being organized gets a bad wrap. It’s true. Those who find it difficult – where organizing doesn’t come naturally to them – create positive sayings about clutter & chaos. Like having a hard time with math, science, writing, art, sports or just creating new friends, we all poo hoo those who are skilled in what we are not.
